The town has a rich 90 year history, first as a railroad town in the early 1900s, then as the center of an oil boom in the ‘30s. With a well-rounded public school system, postal service and even its own Lone Star College - Tomball, the town is very self-sufficient. There's even the Tomball Regional Medical Center with comprehensive services.
